Accounting & Reporting Expert I (FT)

As an Accounting & Reporting Expert, you will be responsible for a broad range of activities within the Accounts Payable and Financial Accounting domain. You will ensure that financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The Financial Accounting department is responsible for expense administration and internal and external reporting obligations. You will join a team of eight professionals who work closely together in an informal, collaborative, and results-driven environment.

As a relatively small and specialized team, we rely on each other's expertise and quality of work. This gives you the opportunity to take ownership, broaden your experience, and make a visible contribution to the department and the organization.

Your responsibilities include: Processing and coding purchase orders, contracts, and supplier invoices; Monitoring the automated invoice workflow and resolving exceptions; Ensuring timely payment of invoices, monitoring outstanding liabilities, and preparing supplier payment batches; Managing selected cost administration activities, including telecommunications, travel, and lease car expenses; Preparing VAT returns and supporting month-end closing activities; Preparing financial analyses and reports, with extensive use of Excel; Posting and maintaining accounting entries within reporting applications; Contributing to process improvements and ensuring high-quality financial reporting.

In addition, BMG's Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process will migrate to ING's central P2P platform next year. You will play an important supporting role in this project and contribute to a successful implementation. Who are you? Bachelor's degree (HBO or equivalent), preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently and accurately; Advanced Excel skills and affinity with financial reporting; Experience with Accounts Payable, Financial Accounting, or Purchase-to-Pay processes; Experience with accounting systems and workflow management software is considered a plus; Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to maintain oversight in a dynamic environment.
