AI Engineer – Document & Image Processing

Our client, a leading organization in the environmental and infrastructure sector, is seeking an expert to drive business process optimization through artificial intelligence. The role focuses on auditing existing workflows and developing a Proof of Concept for automated document and image analysis to improve machine data management.

Responsibilities: Audit business processes to identify digital optimization opportunities and high-value AI use cases. Develop a Proof of Concept (POC) for the automated reading and categorization of technical project documentation. Extract specific parameters from documents and images to automatically populate machine databases. Transform technical manuals into structured, reusable maintenance instructions for field operations. Evaluate innovative solutions for in-the-field information retrieval using geo-based or mobile technologies.

Collaborate with stakeholders to design checklists and feedback loops for post-maintenance reporting.

Requirements: 5+ years experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning. 3+ years in Business Process Management and Business Process Re-engineering. Possess experience with automated document processing and image analysis technologies. Bring experience in developing Proof of Concepts (POC) within a corporate environment. Proactive and solution-oriented approach. You are fluent in Dutch.

Nice to Haves: Knowledge of English. Familiarity with mobile or geo-based information retrieval systems. Interest in voice assistant technology applications.
