AI Platform Engineer – Azure & AI Infrastructure

ABN AMRO is looking for an AI Platform Engineer to join the MAAP (My Advanced Analytics Platform) – AI Infrastructure team. MAAP supports AI development across the bank through AI infrastructure, reusable AI capabilities and agentic AI solutions. In this role, you will focus on the AI infrastructure and services within the Atlas Data & AI platform, ensuring they are scalable, secure, compliant and well-governed. What you’ll do: Design and develop scalable AI infrastructure in line with enterprise standards for security, networking, privacy, monitoring, auditability and governance; prototype emerging AI infrastructure technologies and translate them into enterprise solutions; design and implement cloud-native solutions on Azure; build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, platform automation and Infrastructure as Code; develop integrations between AI services, AKS and supporting platforms; create templates and reference implementations for AI development teams; support development teams in using the AI platform securely and effectively; collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Risk, Data Governance and Platform teams to align technical solutions with regulations and enterprise standards.

Tech stack: Azure / Azure AI Services, AKS / Kubernetes, Azure API Management, Databricks / Unity Catalog, Azure DevOps, Bicep, Python, Azure Monitor / Log Analytics, Entra ID. What we’re looking for: Platform & Cloud Engineering: strong experience with Azure platform engineering, networking and IAM/Entra ID; knowledge of Azure AI Services and Azure API Management; experience with reliability engineering, including observability, scalability and availability; strong Python skills for troubleshooting and prototyping; experience with DevOps, CI/CD, version control and Infrastructure as Code.

AI & LLMOps: knowledge of Generative AI and LLMOps; understanding of AI security and governance, cost/token tracking and rate limiting; good understanding of LLMs, RAG, AI agents, evaluation and prompt engineering; experience with monitoring and observability.

Architecture & Collaboration: strong awareness of security and governance; a Developer Experience (DevEx) mindset and strong systems-thinking skills; experience with architecture modelling; strong communication and collaboration skills, with a goal-oriented and flexible approach.
