Omschrijving
The Area Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing fabrication, assembly, testing, and construction activities for offshore buoy and marine loading system equipment at a major fabrication yard in China (Rushan Himile Yard). The role requires strong experience with CALM/SPM buoy systems, offshore mooring equipment, marine infrastructure, and fabrication yard execution. Key responsibilities include leading and supervising daily construction activities, ensuring works are executed according to approved drawings and procedures, coordinating contractor and subcontractor activities, monitoring productivity and progress, reviewing work packs and risk assessments, and resolving technical issues. For buoy & mooring systems, the candidate supervises fabrication and assembly, oversees installation and integration of mooring components, piping, structural assemblies, and mechanical equipment, coordinates inspection and testing, and supports offshore installation readiness. The role also demands a strong safety culture, compliance with HSE procedures, toolbox talks, incident investigations, and proactive risk mitigation. Quality & handover duties involve coordinating with QA/QC, ensuring construction dossiers and completion records, monitoring punch list closure, and supporting system handovers. The candidate provides daily and weekly progress updates, participates in meetings, and supports schedule recovery. Essential skills include a degree or diploma in mechanical, marine, or structural engineering, minimum 10 years of offshore oil & gas, FPSO, marine terminal, or energy infrastructure experience, minimum 5 years as a Construction Superintendent or equivalent, demonstrated experience with CALM buoy, SPM buoy, mooring systems, offshore loading facilities, marine terminals, or similar projects, previous fabrication yard experience, and experience supporting mechanical completion and pre-commissioning. Strong understanding of offshore buoy systems, knowledge of construction practices, familiarity with international standards, and ability to interpret drawings are also required. The posting is a 1-year contract with a start date as soon as possible and a closing date of September 5, 2026.
