Volledige omschrijving
AWS Platform Engineer – Full Stack Data Platform Engineer for the Data Platform team. The ideal candidate is passionate about building and operating cloud-native data platforms, with a strong engineering mindset and hands-on experience across infrastructure, automation, and software development. Key Responsibilities & Required Skills: Strong proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation, tooling, and platform engineering; Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles; Deep understanding of the AWS ecosystem, including networking, IAM, compute, storage, and other core cloud services; Solid experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and Amazon EKS, including deploying, operating, and troubleshooting containerized applications; Proficiency with Git (preferably Bitbucket) and experience designing, developing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines; Good understanding of Snowflake administration, including its security model, role-based access control (RBAC), privileges, resource hierarchy, and object lifecycle management; Experience provisioning and managing Snowflake resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform); Strong understanding of software engineering best practices; Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): Experience with Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem; Knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures; Experience with cloud-native data platforms, DevOps practices, and platform engineering.
Location: Brussels (hybrid).
Language: English (NL/FR is a plus).
