BI Consultant – Power BI & Databricks

Our client, a major organization in the energy sector, is undergoing a significant transition in its data reporting and system methodologies. The project involves analyzing and restructuring datasets to support the rollout of digital meters and the integration of new data models.

The responsibilities include: analyzing and transforming datasets and reporting structures to support market process transitions; implementing reporting solutions related to the deployment of digital meters within existing data models; designing, developing, and extending reporting frameworks based on evolving business needs; executing automated and semi-manual data coupling and processing tasks; conducting thorough acceptance testing to ensure the quality of reporting outputs; and acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

The requirements are: at least 4 years of experience with Power BI, specifically working with large data volumes; at least 4 years of experience writing complex SQL queries for data processing; at least 3 years of experience as a BI Consultant or Information Analyst; at least 2 years of experience managing data processing within Databricks; proven experience with Data Management (ETL) and Acceptance testing; demonstrated ability to handle large-scale datasets and complex data environments; strong communication skills to facilitate alignment between business and IT; and fluency in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to haves include: 3+ years of experience with market processes within the Belgian energy sector; 2+ years of experience working with PySpark; familiarity with MIG6 standards and reporting tools; and experience conducting detailed requirements analysis. The offer includes a start date of 01/12/2026, a duration of 12 months, a full-time work regime, a location in Melle, and the contract is open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
