Are you an experienced Business Developer or Business Analyst with a strong background in facility technology and Building Management Systems? For a leading financial organisation, we are looking for someone who can translate complex requirements into practical solutions for a DevOps team. You will join the Building Management Systems team in Amsterdam, which is responsible for maintaining and improving the software behind critical building systems.
These include HVAC, lighting, physical access, security cameras, networking and cooling systems. A major focus will be supporting the implementation of new workplace and data centre environments. You will work closely with the Product Owner, project teams, technical partners and BMS suppliers, often within a complex and time-sensitive environment.
What will you do?
- Gather and analyse requirements for new and existing functionality.
- Translate business and technical requirements into clear user stories.
- Ensure stories are ready for implementation by the Agile Scrum team.
- Coordinate incoming work with the Product Owner, project stakeholders and external engineering partners.
- Align requirements, planning and dependencies with BMS suppliers.
- Support change risk assessments for upcoming releases and system changes.
- Help the team resolve security issues, incidents and incoming tickets.
- Take an active role in managing changes across BMS-related projects.
- Build effective relationships between business, IT, suppliers and project teams.
What do you bring?
- At least 10 years of experience as a Business Developer, Business Analyst or Project Manager in software development for facility or building management systems.
- Practical knowledge of systems such as HVAC, lighting, cooling and air conditioning, physical access, security cameras or building networks.
- Proven experience gathering requirements and translating them into workable solutions and user stories.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum and DevOps environments.
- Previous experience within the client organisation is a strict requirement.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English. Dutch is an advantage.
