Volledige omschrijving

A major Dutch bank is looking for a senior Business Analyst to support its Common Data teams in delivering a time-critical BCBS239 credit risk data roadmap. You will cover 16 credit risk use cases, Definition of Default delivery and the onboarding of newly acquired entities into the bank’s Finance & Risk data platform. You will work across Finance, Risk, IT and data teams. You will join a 30-person team of business developers and IT engineers, working in the sub-team focused on production runs and platform stability.

This is an ops-driven role for someone who picks up issues right away and solves them independently. Current use cases include AnaCredit, commercial and residential real estate loan tapes and internal dashboards, with IFRS 9 and market and liquidity risk to follow. The team works in an international, English-speaking environment, in the office in Amsterdam two days a week. The assignment runs until the end of March 2027, and both payroll and freelance are possible.

You will: Run the monthly production process: load and validate data, spot anomalies, deliver evidence for data quality controls and inform stakeholders when data is ready; Investigate production and data quality issues directly in SQL and trace whether they come from source data or recent releases; Lead the business and IT alignment and testing when connecting new entities and migrating platforms; Propose and implement practical improvements to automate and stabilise the platform.

About you: Senior experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or data product lead in Finance & Risk data at a bank; Strong hands-on SQL experience, used to investigate and resolve data issues; Experience working on a data platform in an operational or run role; Ops mindset: you take initiative and work independently; Background in financial risk data, preferably credit risk (e.g. AnaCredit, loan tapes, IFRS 9); Knowledge of BCBS239 and data quality controls; Ideally experience with Databricks, Azure, Python or Power BI; Ideally experience onboarding new entities or migrating data platforms in a banking environment.
