Business Analyst – IT Systems & Data Integration

Pauwels Consulting is looking for a Business Analyst – IT Systems & Data Integration for an international automotive client. The project focuses on developing and enhancing IT systems by translating business needs into detailed functional specifications.

Responsibilities: Gather detailed requirements and functional specifications for the development and improvement of IT systems; collaborate with Solution Architects and Project Managers to align functional and legal requirements; develop functional specifications and produce project-related deliverables throughout the lifecycle; coordinate with external vendors to ensure required functionalities are accurately implemented and validated; design user test cases and validate results during the user acceptance testing (UAT) phase; maintain process documentation and create reusable assets for the organization.

Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a business analyst within IT projects, focusing on system development or enhancement; proven expertise in creating User Stories, Story Maps, Use Cases, and Acceptance Criteria; hands-on experience defining non-functional requirements and conducting UAT validation; technical knowledge of data integration techniques within Azure cloud or SaaS environments; solid technical background in Java or .NET to facilitate discussions on solution design; experience managing external vendors and implementation partners for functionality handovers; strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate business processes and identify optimization areas; proactive and process-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills; fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to have: Understanding of or experience with EU legislation.

Offer: Start date ASAP, duration 6 months + extensions, full-time, location Gent, hybrid working model (minimum 3 days per week onsite), contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
