Buyer

Buyer – Field Services for the Energy & Utilities industry, based in Brussels, Belgium. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of technical service categories supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of high-voltage electricity infrastructure.

Responsibilities include: developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies; partnering with internal stakeholders; conducting market analyses and leading complex tenders; managing contracts and strategic suppliers; building long-term supplier relationships; identifying and mitigating risks; ensuring accurate contract implementation in ERP and contract management systems; coordinating stakeholders; and improving procurement processes and optimising Total Cost of Ownership.

The ideal profile requires a Master’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, commercial management or contract management; experience in technical services, construction, infrastructure or industrial environments is preferred; strong command of Dutch and French with good professional English; proven experience leading complex tenders and contract negotiations; strong analytical skills; ability to work independently; clear, structured communication; and ability to build trusted relationships.

Practical information: work across two office locations in Brussels with approximately 2 days onsite per week; occasional travel to Berlin with travel costs covered; non-EU candidates must hold valid Belgian work and residence permits.
