Buyer – Field Services

We are looking for an experienced Buyer – Field Services to manage a diverse portfolio of technical service categories supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of high-voltage electricity infrastructure. You will lead sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships and provide commercial guidance throughout the procurement and contract lifecycle, balancing safety, quality, risk and cost.

Responsibilities: develop and implement category and sourcing strategies aligned with procurement policies and business objectives; partner with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, challenge needs and identify opportunities to create value; conduct market analyses and lead complex tenders, supplier selection and commercial negotiations; manage contracts and strategic suppliers throughout their lifecycle; build long-term supplier relationships and monitor service delivery and performance; identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, operational and supplier-related risks; ensure accurate contract implementation and follow-up in ERP and contract management systems; coordinate technical, operational, legal and financial stakeholders throughout procurement projects; improve procurement processes and optimise Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Your profile: Master’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, commercial management or contract management; experience in technical services, construction, infrastructure or industrial environments is preferred; strong command of Dutch and French, with good professional English; proven experience leading complex tenders and contract negotiations; strong analytical skills and commercial judgement; ability to work independently, take ownership of complex files and lead cross-functional collaboration; clear, structured communication, including with senior stakeholders; ability to build trusted relationships with internal customers and suppliers; experience in project-based work, supplier performance management and collaboration with technical or operational teams is a strong asset.

Practical information: work across two office locations in Brussels, with approximately 2 days onsite per week; occasional travel to Berlin, with travel costs covered; non-EU candidates must hold valid Belgian work and residence permits.
