Harvey Nash Belgium is recruiting a CISO to act as the strategic guide and trusted advisor for its customers. In this customer-facing role, you are not operating the security controls yourself but you help determine the course. You translate complex cyber threats into clear board-level language and advise on how cyber security can support the customer's business strategy, whether it concerns a managed security service, a CISO or GRC-as-a-Service role, or consultancy. You will coordinate seamlessly with specialized security teams and Managed Services for technical implementation. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing cyber security policies, outlining long-term roadmaps, translating abstract strategy into tactical action plans, acting as sparring partner at C-level, setting up security governance, initiating risk analyses (IT, OT, IoT), guiding customers through laws and regulations such as NIS2, preparing them for audits and ISO certifications, managing serious incidents with oversight and calm, advising on the optimal use of SOC and monitoring services, increasing security awareness, and being the central point of contact for all stakeholders. The ideal candidate has academic working and thinking level, expertise in GRC and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS, strong knowledge of legislation (including NIS2, GDPR) and IT Service Management (ITIL), and experience with ICT architectures is a must. Knowledge of OT/ICS and IoT is a strong advantage. Personality traits include strategic thinking, strong communication, diplomatic steadfastness, and enjoyment of collaborating with sales, architects, and engineers.
