Volledige omschrijving

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Technical Architect to help customers design and implement secure, scalable and future-proof cloud solutions within the T-Systems Public Cloud environment.

You will translate business requirements into technical architectures and advise customers on key decisions around cloud platforms, networking, security, migration and cost optimization.

A strong understanding of TCP/IP and networking is essential, as networking forms a critical foundation of the platform and is comparable in complexity to hyperscalers such as AWS.

Key Responsibilities

- Design end-to-end cloud architectures within T-Systems Public Cloud

- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure and future-proof solutions

- Design and implement landing zones and reusable architectural patterns

- Advise customers on platform choices, cost optimization, risks and time-to-market

- Lead technical discussions with stakeholders ranging from C-level to engineering teams

- Ensure architectures meet security, compliance and performance requirements

- Support cloud migration strategies, including rehost, replatform and refactor

- Design integrations with existing on-premise and hybrid IT environments

- Contribute throughout the full lifecycle, from strategy and architecture through implementation

Required Experience

- Strong experience in Cloud Architecture, including IaaS, PaaS, containers and Kubernetes

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP

- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and networking – this is a core requirement

- Strong understanding of connectivity, routing, DNS, latency and hybrid architectures

- Experience with cloud migration strategies: rehost, replatform and refactor

- Experience working with complex enterprise IT environments, including SAP, legacy systems and integrations

- Knowledge of cloud security and compliance, including IAM, data residency and data sovereignty

- Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization

Personal Profile

You are a hands-on architect who combines strategic thinking with the ability to turn architecture into practical solutions. You take ownership, proactively drive initiatives and are comfortable balancing long-term architectural goals with short-term delivery needs.

You should also have:

- Strong customer-facing communication skills

- The ability to explain complex technical concepts to different audiences

- Confidence in leading technical discussions and decision-making

- A constructive approach to challenging assumptions while maintaining strong relationships

- Strong stakeholder management across both business and technical teams

Important: This is a hands-on architecture role. We are looking for someone who actively contributes to implementation and delivery, rather than a purely conceptual or “PowerPoint” architect.
