Construction Manager

About the Company: Our client is a large industrial organization with complex production facilities and a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. The role supports capital investment projects within a technical production environment.

Role Description: As Construction Manager, you will independently lead the construction execution of CAPEX projects on site. You will coordinate contractors, technical teams, and project stakeholders while ensuring safe, efficient delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the on-site construction phase of CAPEX projects; Manage contractors, subcontractors, and site activities; Coordinate construction with engineering, procurement, and operations; Monitor project progress, risks, quality, and costs; Manage site logistics, permits, inspections, and daily coordination; Resolve technical and construction issues on site; Coordinate project stakeholders and escalate issues when needed; Prepare and support Mechanical Completion, commissioning, and handover; Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and site procedures.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar, or equivalent experience; 5–10+ years of experience managing industrial CAPEX construction projects; Strong experience in complex production or industrial environments; Proven experience managing contractors and construction sites; Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project controls; Experience in pharma, chemical, food, or similar regulated/industrial environments is a plus; Strong understanding of permits, safety, quality, and site procedures; Hands-on, decisive, and able to work independently; Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage.
