Construction Manager

Construction Manager for a civil infrastructure project in West Flanders, Belgium. Our client delivers complex civil infrastructure projects, coordinating contractors and project teams to complete works safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the full A–Z delivery of a civil infrastructure build in West Flanders, from mobilisation through construction and handover. The civil/CSA package is the largest part of the project, so substantial experience managing civil/CSA works is essential.

Your responsibility will cover the entire build, including coordination across other construction packages. You will supervise the contractor and serve as the main on-site point of contact for the project managers.

Key responsibilities include: managing the project from site mobilisation through construction, completion, and handover; leading delivery of the civil/CSA package and coordinating its interfaces with all other construction works; supervising the contractor, monitoring performance, and resolving issues affecting safety, quality, or progress; acting as the main on-site point of contact for the project managers; coordinating construction schedules, work sequences, site access, materials, equipment, and resources; reviewing drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documentation; working with engineering and project teams to resolve technical queries; monitoring progress against the programme; overseeing inspections, quality records, outstanding works, and handover documentation; ensuring all site activities meet project health, safety, quality, and client requirements.

Candidate requirements: proven experience as a Construction Manager delivering civil infrastructure or comparable large-scale construction projects; extensive civil/CSA experience; experience overseeing the full construction lifecycle; ability to coordinate work across multiple packages; experience supervising contractors; confidence acting as the principal on-site contact; ability to interpret construction drawings; strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills; sound understanding of site safety, quality control, and construction sequencing; relevant civil engineering, construction management, or technical qualification; fluent in Dutch and English; available to work 5 days per week on site in West Flanders; available to start at the end of October.

Contract duration is 2 years. Working arrangement is on-site.
