Consultant B - Supply Chain Risk Manager

Temporary Supply Chain Risk Manager based in Europe. Lead the day-to-day management of Supplier Risk & Qualification activities to ensure suppliers are assessed, approved and monitored in line with Company X policies and risk appetite. Engage with stakeholders across North America, Europe and APAC, oversee Supplier Risk & Qualification operations delivered through the Global Shared Service Centre in Manila, and ensure consistent application of supplier onboarding, due diligence and risk management processes to protect the organisation from regulatory, financial, operational and reputational risks.

Key responsibilities: lead end-to-end supplier qualification and risk assessment processes, including escalation management, due diligence, risk reviews, approvals and documentation in line with policies; act as final escalation point for high-risk or complex supplier cases, coordinating with cross-functional experts (Legal, Compliance, InfoSec, ESG) to ensure timely resolution; manage and develop the Supplier Risk & Qualification team in the Global Shared Services Centre, ensuring workload balance, performance tracking and continuous capability building; partner with Procurement, business stakeholders and subject-matter experts to support supplier onboarding, manage escalations and provide insights and reporting for governance forums; drive implementation and continuous improvement of risk-based workflows, tools and methodologies; identify opportunities for automation, simplification and user adoption; ensure adherence to regulatory and internal requirements, support audits, monitor KPIs and service levels, and oversee ongoing supplier risk monitoring and reassessment programs.

Qualifications & experience: 5+ years’ experience in supplier risk management, supplier qualification, procurement operations, third-party risk management, compliance or related disciplines; experience leading operational teams within a shared service centre or global business services environment; strong understanding of supplier onboarding, due diligence, risk assessment and governance processes; experience working with enterprise procurement and supplier management systems; bachelor’s degree in business, procurement, risk management, finance, law or equivalent experience; strong risk assessment and problem-solving capability, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; data-driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting capabilities; ability to balance risk management requirements with operational efficiency and business needs.

Working arrangements: based in Europe with engagement across North America, Europe and APAC; oversees operations delivered through a Global Shared Service Centre in Manila; flexible on office attendance; desirable to attend office approximately one day per week. Management expectations & personal traits: management style hands-on, experienced in managing teams and shared service centre operations; able to manage managers and support HR processes; key traits strong performance-management capability, high emotional resilience, clear boundaries, evidence-led, comfortable with difficult conversations, good probing skills, able to distinguish coordination from leadership, not a micromanager; operational aptitude strong enough operationally to identify when things do not add up (SLAs, resourcing, escalations, performance) and familiar with shared service models.

Eisen: 5+ years’ experience in supplier risk management, supplier qualification, procurement operations, third-party risk management, compliance, or related disciplines; experience leading operational teams within a shared service center, or global business services environment; bachelor’s degree in business, procurement, risk management, finance, law, or equivalent experience; the specialist must possess a valid form of identification (passport or identity card), which must be valid both at the intake interview and on the contract start date, and must be available for verification upon request; it is important that the specialist is available for the entire period specified in the request; the candidate’s personal motivation letter and CV must be submitted in English.
