Eisen
- Good engineering skills including programming
- More than 2 years experience with LAN/WAN networking including protocol network architecture
- More than 2 years experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and Palo Alto Networks Panorama for Enterprise level deployments
- Boundary Protection Components deployed within and on the edge of NATO networks

Omschrijving
The contractor will build, implement, maintain, and support Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) as System Administration. Tasks include configuring and reviewing security policies, central system administration of NGFWs, initial systems installation and configuration, adding systems to central management, assigning template and device group settings, configuring date/time/DNS settings, high-availability settings, updating system software/signatures during maintenance windows, implementing and verifying firewall rulesets/policies, adapting email attachment types, developing SOPs and other documentation, producing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, reviewing and updating security documentation, providing technical support in troubleshooting infrastructure and operational issues, collaborating with other teams, providing multi-channel support (phone, email, internal chat), reviewing ticket queues to ensure 4-hour response time for normal events and 1-hour for high/critical events, developing a repository of scripts to automate recurring administration activities, ensuring correct logging and log forwarding configurations, providing pro-active system administration, escalating critical events within 4 hours, supporting system upgrading/patching, updating configuration of firewall rules/policies, and documenting setup/configuration into the GSS documentation repository. The primary purpose of central configuration is to ensure all configuration requests are properly prepared, documented, and implemented. The contractor must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience, official firewall certification (e.g., PCNSA), official network management certification, official service management certification (e.g., ITIL Foundation), 2 years of experience in IT security focused on Security Tools Management in large organisations, more than 2 years of experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and Panorama for Enterprise deployments, more than 2 years with firewall installation/management of other vendors, more than 2 years with scripting/automation (Bash, Python, Ansible), more than 2 years with system monitoring and troubleshooting, experience with network protocols and traffic analysis, more than 2 years troubleshooting complex network security issues, more than 2 years LAN/WAN networking including protocol architecture, more than 2 years TCP/IP protocols and services. Knowledge of Boundary Protection Components deployed within and on the edge of NATO networks is required. The contractor must be a knowledgeable firewall administrator with sufficient knowledge in Networks and Cyber Security Tools, demonstrate experience analysing system/security/application logs, have good engineering skills including programming, and profound communication abilities. The service must be provided 100% on-site at NCIA Mons, Belgium, and the required security clearance is NATO Cosmic Top Secret. Preferences include understanding of information security practices (CIA triad), possession of industry leading certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSNA, SANS GIAC, experience working with NATO, with NATO Communications and Information Agency, with national Defence or Government entities, and previous work in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements.
