Omschrijving
Our client is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Programme Manager to oversee the successful delivery of strategic cybersecurity initiatives across the organisation. Working closely with business leaders, technical teams, and external partners, you will ensure security programmes are delivered efficiently while supporting the organisation's broader digital transformation objectives. This role is well suited to a seasoned programme manager with strong governance experience and the ability to manage multiple workstreams within a complex enterprise environment.
Key responsibilities include directing the end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity programmes, ensuring objectives are met within agreed timescales and budgets; establishing programme governance, reporting frameworks, and delivery plans; coordinating multiple projects and managing interdependencies across technology and business teams; building strong relationships with senior stakeholders; identifying delivery risks and implementing mitigation strategies; managing external suppliers and consulting partners; ensuring alignment with cyber security strategy, regulatory obligations, and business priorities; supporting organisational change; and driving continuous improvement.
Required skills and experience: extensive experience managing large-scale Cyber Security or Information Security programmes; proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives in enterprise environments; strong background in programme governance, planning, budgeting, and resource management; experience with executive stakeholders and steering committees; excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management; ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on delivery.
Expected cyber security expertise includes: Cyber Security Governance, Information Security Frameworks, IAM, Cloud Security, SOC, Security Architecture, Risk and Compliance Management, Vulnerability Management, Network Security, Data Protection, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery, and regulatory requirements including GDPR, NIS2, and ISO 27001.
Preferred certifications (advantageous): PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, Agile/SAFe, CISSP, CISM, CRISC.
Languages: Fluent French (mandatory), English professional working proficiency, Dutch is an asset.
Contract: Freelance, location Brussels (hybrid), initial 6-month engagement with strong possibility of extension, start immediate.
