Data Advisor – Data Governance & Management

Pauwels Consulting is looking for a Data Advisor – Data Governance & Management for a leading organization in the energy sector. The role focuses on closing the gap between business and data by designing solid foundations for metadata, responsibilities, and discoverability to leverage a corporate data platform.

Responsibilities: Analyze business requirements and design sustainable data solutions that provide immediate value and long-term reliability; contribute to the evolution of data governance methodologies by providing feedback from practical field implementations; coach and advise stakeholders, including data owners and stewards, on data management practices and the use of the data platform; review and maintain a transversal business glossary; collaborate with multidisciplinary product teams; facilitate workshops.

Requirements: You possess 4+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, and Master Data Management; ability to rapidly understand complex business processes and translate them into data management requirements; analytical problem-solver with result-driven approach and product-oriented mindset; strong facilitation and coaching skills; fluent in English with fluency in Dutch, French, or German.

Nice to Haves: Knowledge of Data Classification, Data Privacy, Data Security, and CIA measures; experience with Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Big Data environments; familiarity with Data Modeling, Data Integration, and APIs; previous professional experience within the utilities or energy sector.

Offer: Start date ASAP, Full-time, Location Brussels, Hybrid (2 days onsite per week), Contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
