Data Analyst

Our client is looking for a Data Analyst (SAP HR & Business Data Cloud) to help transform HR data into reliable, actionable insights. Working within the Data & Analytics team, you will act as the bridge between HR stakeholders and data teams. You will lead functional analysis activities, explore and validate SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) data products, and contribute to the design and delivery of analytical solutions in a modern data environment built around Snowflake and SAP analytics technologies.

This assignment is ideal for a hands-on data professional with strong SAP HR expertise who enjoys translating business requirements into robust reporting and analytics solutions. The assignment is full-time, initial duration approximately 8 months, with possible extension, English-speaking environment, and hybrid collaboration with business and technical stakeholders. As a Data Analyst, you will work independently on analysis and delivery activities while bringing specialist SAP HR and SAP Business Data Cloud expertise into the team.

You will support the development of scalable HR analytics solutions and help build internal knowledge within the organization.

Key responsibilities include: leading functional analysis workshops with HR stakeholders and translating business needs into data requirements, business rules, KPI definitions, and reporting requirements; exploring, profiling and assessing SAP Business Data Cloud HR data products (data structure, granularity, historical records, data quality and gaps); designing analytical data models, calculations and KPI frameworks; supporting integration of SAP BDC data products into the Snowflake platform; contributing to implementation of business-driven reporting and analytics solutions using Snowflake and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC); performing data testing and validation activities; collaborating with HR stakeholders, portfolio management, data engineers and reporting teams; ensuring adherence to data governance, privacy and GDPR requirements; and sharing SAP expertise with fellow analysts.

Required skills include: proven hands-on experience with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and BDC data products; strong knowledge of SAP HR data and processes (SAP SuccessFactors and/or SAP HCM, organizational structures, positions and workforce management, employee master data, time management, payroll-related data); strong SQL skills; experience with data exploration, profiling and analysis; data modelling and KPI development experience; data testing, validation and reconciliation expertise; familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP analytics capabilities; experience gathering and documenting business requirements; ability to translate stakeholder needs into functional specifications; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; structured planning and prioritization capabilities; excellent communication skills; strong understanding of data quality principles; and GDPR and privacy-conscious mindset.

Nice-to-have: experience with Snowflake, exposure to BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, and experience working within enterprise-scale data environments.

Preferred background: previous involvement in SAP HR and SAP Business Data Cloud projects within large organizations.

Languages: English required; Dutch and/or French a strong advantage.
