Data Analyst – Databricks & Power BI: Our client, a leading organization in the financial and insurance sector, is looking for a Data Analyst to join their reporting and data engineering team. The project focuses on translating complex data into actionable insights and robust reporting solutions to support strategic decision-making and product development. The responsibilities include analyzing complex databases to gain relevant insights using advanced manipulation and visualization tools; developing consistent and accurate datasets for new and existing periodic reports; improving and automating data analysis and reporting processes by initiating change management; identifying and implementing optimization opportunities to rationalize the existing reporting portfolio; supporting stakeholders with self-service reporting tools to foster a culture of data autonomy; and documenting and analyzing reporting requirements to propose and implement suitable data solutions. Requirements include 5+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting within a complex environment; 5+ years in dataset development and creation of reporting solutions; 5+ years in process improvement, reporting automation, and portfolio optimization; advanced skills in Python, SQL, and SAS; professional experience with Databricks and Power BI; proficiency in MS Office 365; an analytical mindset; and fluency in English with a fluent level of Dutch or French and a good level of the other. Nice to haves include experience in insurance or financial services, experience with Azure and Microsoft Fabric, knowledge of data modeling techniques, and experience with end-to-end requirements management. The offer includes a start date as soon as possible, a duration of 24 months, location Brussels, and a contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
