Eisen

Volledige omschrijving

The Data Analyst for Functional Modelling will join a multidisciplinary agile data team made up of data engineers, reporting specialists, data functional analysts, project managers, data architects, data quality experts and AI specialists.

Tasks include: facilitating discussions with business subject matter experts to capture data-related needs; mapping, analysing and understanding business processes and operational and analytical data flows, both incoming and outgoing; converting business requirements into functional data requirements and technical specifications; designing and validating conceptual and logical data models together with data architects; preparing the functional design of data developments in close collaboration with data governance, BI technical leads and ICT teams; working with the Data Protection Officer to ensure GDPR and security compliance; supporting and coordinating testing of delivered data products; informing and guiding business users, and helping drive adoption of the delivered solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years of professional experience in data functional analysis, hands-on experience with data warehouse modelling (including Kimball), proven experience in data modelling and analysing/designing data flows, at least 3 years of practical experience with the Microsoft on-premise stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI), solid SQL skills. Previous data engineer experience is an asset, and Azure Databricks experience is a plus.

The candidate must have excellent communication skills, professional command of both national languages (French and Dutch) at minimum B2+ level, strong presentation skills, strong conceptual thinking and business understanding, high data literacy, ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, autonomous way of working, pragmatic problem-solving, collaborative mindset, perseverance, flexibility, eagerness to learn and open-mindedness.
