Data Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical sector, is seeking a professional to join their digital transformation initiatives within a high-tech production environment. This role involves developing and implementing advanced data solutions, including machine learning and AI applications, to optimize the quality and efficiency of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities: Collect and process production data from sources such as process historians, MES systems, and sensors. Develop robust data pipelines and analytical models using Python and SQL. Design and implement Machine Learning models for predictive maintenance and anomaly detection. Implement Large Language Model (LLM) applications for document processing and knowledge extraction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate digital solutions into operational value.

Document methodologies and results in compliance with GMP requirements.

Requirements: You bring 3+ years of experience in a data science or analytical role. You have advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation, including pandas, scikit-learn, and NumPy. You possess strong skills in SQL for relational database management and complex queries. You have practical experience building and validating Machine Learning models for time-series and predictive analysis. You bring knowledge of Large Language Models (LLM), including fine-tuning and prompt engineering.

You have experience with IIoT data contextualization using AVEVA PI Asset Framework or Seeq. You possess a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Engineering. You are proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented. You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves: Experience in a GMP-regulated environment. Knowledge of WERUM PAS-X or other MES systems. Familiarity with DeltaV DCS or process control systems. Experience using Cursor or Claude for code development.
