Data Quality Engineer – Python & SQL

Our client, a prominent organization in the transport and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Data Quality Engineer to design and maintain pipelines for mission-critical data assets. The role focuses on bridging the gap between technical development and business needs by visualizing quality issues and implementing robust monitoring rules.

Responsibilities: Translate functional data quality requirements into technical rules and monitoring processes. Design, develop, and maintain data quality pipelines within a specialized engineering team. Visualize data errors and quality issues to assist data stewards and producers. Collaborate with stakeholders across ICT, data governance, and business units to define quality standards. Develop deep business knowledge of data assets to ensure technical solutions align with organizational needs.

Contribute to the scalability and continuous improvement of the organization-wide data quality program.

Requirements: 1+ years of experience in data development using Python and SQL. 1+ years of experience with relevant data technologies or similar engineering frameworks. Experience in data visualization using Power BI. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or engineering field. Native in Dutch.

Nice to have: Experience working within Azure environments. Practical experience with Databricks as an exploration tool. Familiarity with Data Quality frameworks.

Offer: Start date 16/11/2026, project until 31/05/2027, part-time (60%), location Mechelen, onsite, contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
