Volledige omschrijving
We are looking for a DevSecOps / Security Engineer to strengthen a growing cybersecurity team. In this role, you will work at the intersection of cybersecurity, infrastructure, automation and development, helping to build and improve secure, scalable technology and security processes. You will be part of a technical team working on security monitoring, detection, automation and the continuous improvement of security environments. The role offers plenty of opportunity to work with modern technologies and develop your expertise across different areas of cybersecurity and infrastructure.
As a DevSecOps / Security Engineer, your responsibilities may include: developing and improving security automation and technical workflows; writing scripts and tooling to automate repetitive processes and improve efficiency; supporting the development and maintenance of security monitoring and detection capabilities; working with security events, alerts and potential incidents; contributing to incident response and security investigations where required; building, maintaining and improving cloud, infrastructure and application environments; working with containers and container orchestration technologies; developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and integrating security into development processes; working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management; developing and improving security rules, use cases and monitoring logic within SIEM or security platforms; helping to improve the scalability, reliability and security of technical platforms; researching new technologies, tools and developments in the cybersecurity landscape; contributing to the continuous improvement of security services, processes and tooling; working closely with other engineers, analysts and technical stakeholders to solve security and infrastructure challenges.
We are looking for someone with a strong technical mindset and an interest in cybersecurity. You do not need to meet every requirement below - experience in several of these areas is valuable.
Requirements: 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, DevSecOps, DevOps, SOC, security engineering, infrastructure or a related technical field; experience with scripting or programming, for example Python, Go, Ruby, Bash or another relevant language; experience with Linux and/or modern infrastructure environments; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or other container technologies; experience with CI/CD, for example GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar; understanding of Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, Ansible or comparable technologies; experience with SIEM, security monitoring, logging or detection technologies; understanding of common cybersecurity principles, threats and incident response processes; HBO/WO working and thinking level or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have: experience with one or more of the following is advantageous: Elastic / ELK or another SIEM platform; Terraform or Ansible; Kubernetes / Helm; SOAR or security automation; Grafana / Prometheus; Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP; detection engineering or security use-case development; incident response or SOC environments; threat detection and threat intelligence; GitLab or other DevOps tooling; security testing or application security; CKA, CKAD or other relevant certifications.
You are a technically minded professional who enjoys solving problems and working with technology. You are curious about how systems work and how they can be made more secure, reliable and efficient. You are pragmatic and solution-oriented, comfortable working independently, a good communicator and team player, interested in learning new technologies, able to translate technical challenges into practical solutions, proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement, and passionate about cybersecurity, infrastructure or automation.
Most importantly, you don't need to be an expert in everything. We are interested in people with a strong technical foundation who want to continue developing across security, infrastructure, automation and engineering.
What can you expect: a technically challenging role within a growing cybersecurity environment; opportunities to work with modern security and infrastructure technologies; plenty of autonomy and responsibility; training and development opportunities; support for relevant certifications; a collaborative and informal working environment; hybrid working possibilities; the opportunity to work across different areas of cybersecurity and technology; a role where your ideas and technical expertise can have a direct impact.
If you have a background in DevSecOps, DevOps, Security Engineering, SOC, Infrastructure, Cloud or Cybersecurity and are looking for a role where you can broaden your technical expertise, we would be interested in hearing from you.
