Job Title: Electrical Engineer.
Location: Fully Remote – Europe (CET +-1 hour).
Normal Working Schedule: 20-40 hours per week (flexible based on your situation).
Project: Make calculations & 2D designs to connect a new electrical furnace being installed inside of a multi-metal recycling and refining plant.
Start Date: ASAP.
Contract Type: 2 Months Freelance Contract.
About the Client: Our client is a large multinational client specialised in multi-metal recycling and refining of the metals in order to provide non-ferrous metals.
Role Overview: We are seeking an electrical engineer to work fully remote, make calculations and decisions on what equipment (e.g., LV switchgears, cables etc..), the type of that material, how many of them, and where to put them as well as making 2D designs, single line diagrams for the onsite team to implement in order to connect a new electrical furnace being installed.
Key Responsibilities: Make electrical calculations and 2D electrical designs in order to connect a new electrical furnace being installed inside a multi-metal recycling and refinery plant. You will need access to your own software (your choice for which software you use) to make the electrical calculations/designs (ideally a Siemens software). This position is fully remote, but you will have access to onsite personnel who can gather measurements or anything else you need from site in order to make your electrical calculations/designs.
Make calculations to decide how best to connect the new electrical furnace and decide on what equipment is needed, the number of each chose equipment needed, which type(s) of that equipment is needed and where it’s needed (low voltage switchgears, panels, circuit breakers, cables etc..). The new electrical furnace will need to be connected from the transformer which will feed into a low voltage switchgear etc.. and connect the electrical furnace with water cooling, a bridge crane etc..
Calculate and make 2D electrical designs, single line diagrams etc.. for the whole electrical connections that need to be made for the new electrical furnace to be fully connected. The team onsite will then implement your design. There is potential to extend the contract for other electrical installations/modifications needed across the multinationals global sites.
Candidate Requirements: Electrical Engineering Experience and relevant qualifications. Experience calculating designs for low voltage electrical connections within an industrial facility. Access to your own software to make the electrical calculations & 2D designs. English speaking.
Contract Details: Location: Fully Remote – Europe (CET +- 1 hour).
Normal working schedule: 20-40 hours per week, flexible to your availability.
Duration: 2 months freelance contract.
