Omschrijving

As a Harness engineer, you design new engine components / systems for application in future engine families, in cooperation with other Design Engineers, Mechanical Experts, Suppliers and Production Engineering. You are responsible for component releases within the pre-defined timeline, with focus on functionality, reliability, quality, robustness, manufacturability and cost. Design processes are based on Six Sigma tools and techniques. In your position as Design Engineer in the Engine Wiring Harness group you report to the supervisor of the External 2 group, as well as the Project Lead Engineer.

Functie-eisen: Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering; minimum 5 years of relevant working experience; experience with Electrical harness design, experience with Saber/Capital Harness, or similar wiring design software; experienced CAD software user, preferably CREO; automotive and/or Combustion Engine knowledge is a pre; good English skills are mandatory, Dutch skills are a pre, willingness to learn Dutch is mandatory.

Competenties: clear and structured way of working; strong team player and communicator; used to handle multiple projects and the resulting (time) pressure.

Bedrijfsinformatie: Within PACCAR Inc, Global Engine Development is the center of competence for powertrain development. In state-of-art test-center we develop engine and aftertreatment configurations for future regulations. Future engine development programs include hybrid and hydrogen powertrains. The department Engine Externals and EAS Hardware within Engineering is responsible for hardware development of new engines and aftertreatment systems, and maintaining in-production products. Within the Externals 2 group, there is a vacancy for the role of Engine Wiring Harness Engineer.

The position is detachering (HBO level), 37 hours per week, with a monthly salary of €6.200 (bruto).
