Electronics UI Engineer

Role Description: As an Electronics UI Engineer, you will contribute to the development and improvement of electronic hardware components and subsystems for advanced medical imaging systems. You will translate application and performance needs into technical requirements, evaluate supplier designs, conduct hands-on testing and solve engineering challenges in a multidisciplinary R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise on non-graphical user interface hardware, components and configurations. Define technical requirements at subsystem and unit level, translating application performance needs into design improvements. Evaluate supplier prototypes and recommend technical design improvements. Perform feasibility studies and functional testing, including building test setups, gathering data and analysing results. Investigate and troubleshoot electronic subsystems and components.

Assess component and subsystem performance, reliability, risks and safety. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Mechanical Engineering, Quality, Verification, Compliance, Lifecycle Management and Project Management. Take ownership of assigned units and contribute to wider engineering projects.

Requirements: At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience within the consumer or professional electronics industry. Demonstrable R&D experience in product design, development and maintenance of released products. Experience working with external suppliers and technical vendors. Practical, hands-on experience with laboratory investigations and functional testing. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to assess technical performance and reliability.

Interest in simulation, feasibility studies and conceptual engineering. Good written and verbal English communication skills. Able to work fully onsite.
