Engineer (Cloud and Web)

Administer and configure enterprise-wide cloud environments using Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS). Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for cloud-related incidents, investigating and resolving operational issues promptly. Provision, configure and maintain virtual machines, cloud storage and web-hosting environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure. Monitor and optimise cloud resources and web-hosting services to ensure high availability, performance and reliability.

Automate the deployment, configuration and management of cloud resources using Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Bash or PowerShell to automate routine operational tasks, including instance management, backups and scaling. Support and maintain web-hosting solutions, including SharePoint, Apache and Oracle WebLogic. Configure and manage Azure infrastructure components, including virtual machines, virtual networks, load balancers and Azure Monitor.

Implement and support DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and other related duties as required.

Technical Requirements: Experience administering and configuring Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud environments, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). Experience with on-premises and cloud-based web-hosting solutions, such as SharePoint, Apache and Oracle WebLogic. Hands-on experience provisioning and maintaining virtual machines, cloud storage, networking and web-hosting environments. Experience with Azure virtual machines, virtual networks, load balancers and Azure Monitor.

Experience automating cloud infrastructure deployment and management using Terraform or similar tools. Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash and/or PowerShell. Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Ability to provide Level 2/3 technical support and resolve cloud infrastructure and operational issues.
