Volledige omschrijving
Senior Enterprise Architect – Target Operating Model Deployment.
Industry: Energy & Utilities.
Location: Brussels, Belgium – hybrid.
Onsite presence: Approximately 2 days per week.
Work regime: Full-time.
Start date: ASAP.
Travel: Occasional travel to Berlin, with travel costs covered.
Languages: Fluent English required; French, Dutch or German is a plus.
About the role: We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to turn an approved, federated Target Operating Model (TOM) into practical working processes within an international energy group. This mission requires a pragmatic architect who can drive implementation, strengthen architecture governance and align stakeholders across Group and local entities. You will translate strategy into a prioritised implementation backlog, launch suitable pilots and deliver visible results quickly.
Responsibilities: Drive TOM implementation through clear priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks and decision points. Define and continuously improve architecture principles, standards, policies, reference architectures and reusable patterns. Clarify the mandates, responsibilities, decision rights, handovers and escalation paths of Group, local, domain, technical and solution architects. Establish and facilitate Group and local Architecture Review Boards (ARBs), including participation, review scope, decision packs and decision recording.
Implement Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), delegated decision routing, compliance reviews, waiver and exception management, and urgent review procedures. Translate digital platform standards and guardrails into practical guidance for delivery teams. Embed architecture into portfolio and funding decisions, demand intake, project and product delivery, application lifecycle management, security, data, integration and vendor selection. Adapt architecture involvement to complexity, criticality, risk and cross-entity impact.
Establish a minimum set of architecture deliverables with clear ownership, approval, versioning and lifecycle rules. Align senior management, business, product, engineering, security, data, infrastructure and delivery stakeholders around shared priorities. Coach architects, build an architecture community and transfer knowledge to internal teams. Define focused KPIs to measure adoption, decision effectiveness, reuse, compliance, risk and stakeholder value.
Follow through on agreed decisions and actions to ensure successful implementation.
