Equipment Life Cycle Management & Automation Specialist

This is a contingent role at Johnson & Johnson (J&J) for an Equipment Life Cycle Management & Automation Specialist, based in Leiden, Netherlands. The role is within DPDS TDS AD, a Research and Development department.

The ELM team is part of the Lab Operations pillar. The department needs additional support to maintain the ELM, including introduction, decommissioning and documentation of equipment, and automation support on Lab Systems. Responsibilities include supporting the introduction of new equipment and maintaining its life cycle, supporting the Lab Operation Automation team focusing on software applications (mainly Empower, but also Chromeleon, Unifi, ICE3), and supporting NPI's and base business with creative solutions.

Requirements include a Bachelor in Life Sciences or Computer Sciences or equivalent, affinity with laboratory data acquisition and processing software and database systems, knowledge of GMP Quality systems, interpersonal skills, English communication skills (Dutch desirable), planning skills, analytical thinking, proactive and independent work, and technical skills including Waters Empower (strongly preferred) and communication & stakeholder management (required).

Hands-on lab experience with HPLC/CE/cSDS is a nice to have. The contract offers a very competitive hourly rate and will run for at least 1 year.
