Expert Business Analyst - Securities Handling (SRD 2)

A major Belgian bank in Brussels needs an Expert Business Analyst for investment services, with a focus on custody (event and position management) and SRD 2 compliance. You work on new investment services for retail and private banking clients and keep them aligned with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include determining business and functional requirements for SRD 2 compliance on custody, running impact analysis across business, regulatory, legal and process requirements, refining solutions with the product owner and estimating cost and business case, keeping development teams supplied with the information they need and taking part in agile ceremonies, leading change activities through launch, go-to-market and IT release, and gathering, understanding and challenging needs from sales, legal and compliance.

Business experience required: investment products and services (minimum 6 years, mandatory), securities handling (minimum 6 years, mandatory), retail and private banking (mandatory), leading workshops (mandatory).

Functional experience required: business analysis covering securities handling (minimum 6 years, mandatory), regulatory change analysis (SRD 2) across business, legal and process requirements (mandatory), solution refinement, cost and business-case estimation with the product owner (mandatory).

Technical experience required: agile project management (mandatory), business analysis and conversion of ideation into features (mandatory).

Language requirements: English (fluent, mandatory), Dutch or French (fluent, not mandatory).

Education: Bachelor or Master, preferably in business sciences, or equivalent business experience; Agile certification recommended. Soft skills include analytical and conceptual thinking, negotiation and persuasion, structured approach, ability to work independently, problem-solver, quality-minded with an eye for detail, goal-oriented, open to change, team player.

Contract length: 16 months.

Estimated daily rate (EUR): 675 - 825.

Location: Brussels centre; remote/telework from Belgium only.
