Expert Concept Designer - UX Information Architecture

A major Belgian bank in Brussels is looking for an Expert Concept Designer to translate business value propositions into innovative digital solutions that address both user and business needs. You define the initial big picture, conceptualise how the product or service will meet user needs, and how it will interact across a complex ecosystem of external and internal digital channels — web and mobile apps, employee interfaces, and more.

Responsibilities include: developing a comprehensive view of the project ecosystem and making abstract ideas tangible and visual for stakeholders; gathering requirements through ideation fit for the need; gathering insights from user testing, benchmarking and data analytics; defending the voice of the customer and aligning it with business stakeholder needs; curating information architecture so content is categorised and structured for intuitive usability; drafting high-level (low-fidelity) wireframes; confronting the impact of proposed solutions against current metrics; delivering a concept report that solidifies approach, research, testing and proposed user flows from entry to completion; leading the ideation phase and supporting the UX/UI designer in refinement after concept validation.

Mandatory skills include: ideating with stakeholders as a group and independently; agile environment (Scrum, SAFe or similar); mobile-first and accessibility mindset; concept design and UX information architecture for digital channels; concept report covering approach, research, testing and proposed user flows; information architecture; high-level (low-fidelity) wireframes; qualitative and quantitative user testing, benchmarking and data analytics.

English is mandatory; Dutch and French are preferred. Soft skills include looking beyond the obvious, keeping a holistic view, analytical and structured mind, digesting and synthesising information, excellent briefing skills, active and empathic listening, stakeholder management, and taking ownership of the concept throughout the product lifecycle. The contract is for 7 months, starting 2026-11-16, with an estimated daily rate of EUR 620-750.

Location: Brussels (5 min walk from Central Station), with remote/telework allowed from Belgium only.
