Expert Functional Analyst - Enterprise Channels

A major Belgian bank in Brussels needs an Expert Functional Analyst on enterprise channels and customer experience for business clients. You sit between business and IT: turn needs into clear functional requirements and help deliver customer-centric, compliant digital services across channels and ecosystems.

Responsibilities include: facilitating alignment between business and IT and choosing a workable solution; writing functional requirements and comparing options with pros and cons; designing detailed functional solutions aligned with target architecture; guiding developers and testers throughout delivery; challenging ways of working and promoting practices that raise quality and efficiency.

Business experience: functional analysis in a complex business and IT environment (5+ years, mandatory).

Functional experience: define functional requirements and feasible solution options (expert, mandatory); align stakeholders across business and IT (mandatory); guide developers and testers through delivery (mandatory).

Technical experience: APIs, Java-based distributed applications, mainframe programs, SQL and data management (mandatory); software testing and testing tools (mandatory); software lifecycle management (mandatory).

Language requirements: English (fluent) mandatory; French and Dutch (good) a plus.

Soft skills: bring people together, listen actively, results-oriented, ownership, agile and Scrum values. Start date 2026-09-21, duration 12 months, location Brussels (5 min walk from Central Station), hybrid ~50% on site / 50% homeworking. Estimated daily rate 675-825 EUR.
