Expert System Engineer – Intune & SCCM

Our client, a major organization in the transport and infrastructure sector, is seeking an expert to manage and optimize their extensive end-user device environment. The project involves technically expanding, planning, and maintaining a large-scale backend and endpoint infrastructure to ensure business continuity across thousands of devices. Responsibilities include evaluating backend and endpoint infrastructure to define upgrades, changes, and expansion proposals; conducting feasibility studies and evaluating hardware and software solutions to meet organizational needs; developing technical designs in alignment with specific architectural requirements and implementing system improvements; providing high-level support and maintenance for the IT infrastructure following ITIL methodologies; delivering technical advice and information to internal and external stakeholders regarding the technology stack; and maintaining technical documentation and actively sharing expertise within the engineering team.

Requirements: you possess 8+ years of experience in system engineering within large-scale environments of at least 100,000 endpoints; expert knowledge of Intune, including MDM, MAM, BYOD, Enterprise Mobility + Security, and Conditional Access Policies; advanced expertise in System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), focusing on distribution groups, task sequences, and software management; in-depth experience with Active Directory, LDAP, GPO, and domain management; deep expertise in infrastructure stacks for Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, and iOS; 5+ years of experience with PowerShell and VBScript for infrastructure automation; broad knowledge of Azure, including license assignment and dynamic groups, alongside Office 365 and Windows Defender; solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN; ability to interact effectively with diverse technical and business stakeholders; and fluency in Dutch or French with a very good level of English.

Nice to haves: certifications in MCSA, MCSE, or MCSD; experience with ServiceNow or PM² methodology; and knowledge of PatchMyPC or 3rd party MDM solutions like Knox or KAI.

Offer: start date 01/01/2027, duration until 31/12/2028, full-time, location Brussels, working model hybrid (with the requirement to be onsite up to 5 days per week as needed), and contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
