Facility engineering Lead

Job description: The Facility Lead will manage facility engineering activities for a high potency secondary packaging project. The role involves overseeing facility design, construction, commissioning, and qualification while ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and engineering standards.

Responsibilities: Lead facility engineering activities for HVAC, utilities, fire protection, CSA, and building systems; Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and vendor documentation; Coordinate engineering activities across project phases from design through handover; Support risk assessments, GMP reviews, and safety evaluations; Collaborate with operations, quality, EHS, contractors, and project teams; Support commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness activities; Resolve technical issues and manage project risks.

Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP regulated environments; Strong knowledge of HVAC, utilities, and facility infrastructure systems; Experience with facility design, construction, and project execution; Understanding of commissioning and qualification activities; Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Other Information: Hybrid work model; Minimum three days per week onsite in Haarlem, Netherlands; Limited travel required for suppliers and project activities.
