Facility Engineering Lead

The Company: A global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization focused on delivering high quality medicines through advanced engineering, manufacturing, and packaging operations. The company operates large scale GMP regulated facilities and invests heavily in facility modernization, compliance, and operational excellence.

Role description: The Facility Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading the facility engineering scope of a major high potency secondary packaging expansion project. The role focuses on facility design, construction, commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness within a GMP regulated pharmaceutical environment. Working closely with engineering teams, contractors, operations, quality, and EHS stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure facility systems are delivered safely, compliantly, and on schedule.

Responsibilities: - Lead facility engineering activities across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, and turnover phases - Support development and review of facility concepts, Basis of Design documentation, and detailed engineering packages - Review and approve technical specifications, calculations, vendor documentation, and engineering deliverables - Coordinate Civil Structural Architectural activities - Manage HVAC, Black Utilities, fire protection, and building infrastructure engineering scope - Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, engineering standards, local regulations, and EHS expectations - Participate in constructability reviews, Process Hazard Analyses, GMP reviews, and risk assessments - Coordinate interfaces between facility systems, process equipment, utilities, automation, and digital platforms - Support commissioning, qualification, turnover activities, and operational readiness programs - Maintain project documentation and contribute to project reporting activities - Drive resolution of technical issues, engineering challenges, and project risks - Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and on site activities Requirements: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facility Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline - Extensive experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or GMP regulated environments - Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, facility infrastructure, utilities, and building systems - Experience supporting construction, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities - Understanding of GMP regulations and engineering compliance requirements - Experience with facility design reviews and technical documentation approval - Knowledge of process hazard assessments and engineering risk management - Strong stakeholder management and cross functional coordination skills - Excellent communication and problem solving abilities - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Experience supporting manufacturing operations and plant infrastructure maintenance is highly desirable Other Information: If you are interested and want to apply, please submit your application via the apply button below and contact me.
