Finance Transformation Consultant

For one of our international partners within the fintech industry, we are looking for an experienced Finance Transformation Consultant to lead the evolution of our global finance capabilities and operating model. In this highly strategic role, you will shape the future of finance by connecting business strategy, technology, operations and data into a scalable architecture that supports global growth. You will define the future-state finance landscape, drive transformation initiatives and identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and advanced digital technologies to improve decision-making, operational performance and customer outcomes.

Working closely with executive stakeholders, product leaders, finance teams and technology partners, you will ensure that strategic ambition is translated into practical roadmaps and measurable business value. The role is based in Amsterdam with a hybrid working model and is a freelance contract for 6 months.

Responsibilities include: define and maintain the Finance Business Architecture roadmap; design future-state operating models for global finance functions; lead finance transformation programmes and strategic initiatives; develop capability maps, value streams and target architectures; partner with senior leadership on investment prioritisation; drive AI-enabled finance innovation and automation opportunities; align finance, technology, data and operations around common objectives; support ERP modernisation and digital transformation initiatives; translate complex concepts into executive-level recommendations; ensure architecture decisions drive measurable business outcomes.

Required experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Technology or related field; 6+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, business architecture or finance transformation; strong understanding of finance processes including Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash; experience with SAP S4HANA; experience designing operating models and transformation roadmaps; proven stakeholder management at executive level; strong communication and influencing skills; experience working in international environments; ability to balance long-term vision with practical execution.
