Financial Control Analyst

Our client is a large, international manufacturing organisation in the food/nutrition sector, operating in a complex and highly regulated supply environment. The site is a major production hub with multiple technologies and a wide product portfolio, where finance plays a central role in decision-making and transformation. We are looking for a Financial Control Analyst to join the finance team at a key manufacturing location in Zoetermeer. This role owns balance sheet and free cash flow forecasting and analysis, drives strong governance and process improvements, and partners closely with senior operations leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and action plans.

It is a high-visibility 'stepping stone' role with strong exposure to manufacturing finance and business partnering.

Responsibilities include: owning the delivery of balance sheet and free cash flow forecasts and actuals analysis, ensuring robust assumptions and efficient processes; leading credit & cash committees and improving governance, content, and decision quality; owning the delivery of material cost variance analysis and translating drivers into clear actions; owning and strengthening S1 and full-year landing processes, ensuring strong free cash flow governance with the controlling team, shared services, and key stakeholders; acting as finance business partner to one or more senior operations leaders and department managers; partnering with central finance teams and contributing to strategic finance roadmap delivery; identifying financial risks and opportunities and driving action plans with stakeholders; implementing continuous improvement of finance control processes and tools; managing stakeholders proactively at site and regional level; and acting as process owner for relevant internal controls and owning controlling activities for corporate costs.

Requirements: 3–5 years relevant finance experience in a complex, multinational environment (operations/manufacturing controlling is a plus); strong analytical skills; rigorous and accurate with data and governance; strong communication and influencing skills, including with non-finance stakeholders; proactive, reliable, open-minded, team-oriented; able to learn fast and show growth potential; comfortable working on-site in Zoetermeer (Netherlands).
