Freelance Financial Controller

Our client is an industrial company. The role involves assistance with year-end closing and reporting, with knowledge of both local GAAP and IFRS required; assistance with the Corporate Income Tax (CIT) calculation with support from the Tax Manager; handling audit requests for all companies within the audit scope (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg - 3 companies in total); reviewing the statutory financial statements for all companies within scope; and quarterly Board of Directors reporting, including the preparation of local GAAP trial balances (7 entities).

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of taxation (Belgian corporate income tax and VAT), good knowledge of local GAAP reporting requirements, IFRS knowledge as a strong advantage, experience in a multinational matrix organization, familiarity with ERP systems (SAP a plus), strong general IT and financial software skills, and the ability to work in Dutch and English. Assignment starting asap, until end of March 2027 full-time.
