Freelance Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is a leading industrial manufacturing organisation operating within a highly technical and project-driven production environment.

Jobomschrijving: Assess the manufacturability and technical feasibility of customer-approved designs, identifying risks, constraints, and optimisation opportunities. Create and maintain production documentation including technical drawings, CAD models, work instructions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ERP master data. Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and contribute to root cause analyses and corrective actions.

Optimise designs, materials, and production processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturing performance. Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Engineering teams to ensure technical alignment and operational excellence.

Profiel: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Design Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, technical design, or a similar production-focused role. Strong proficiency with CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and experience managing BOMs, routings, and technical master data in ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics, or similar).

Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability principles, technical problem solving, and cost estimation within an industrial environment. Analytical, detail-oriented, and hands-on professional with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. Fluent in English and Dutch. Duration: 6 months. Full-time, on-site assignment.
