Front End Technical Architect

Our client in the insurance sector is actively looking for a Front-End Technical Architect with strong Angular/.NET expertise, architectural vision, and technical leadership skills, capable of defining and promoting development standards, supporting delivery teams, driving the lifecycle management of our technologies, and contributing to the industrialization of our solutions. Passionate about innovation, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence, the successful candidate will also act as a coach and mentor, helping to develop the team's skills, foster continuous learning, and support the evolution of our development practices and technical maturity.

Expected Start date: Asap.

Duration: 12 months (Depending on project evolution, extension is possible).

Language requirement: English (Good, mandatory), Dutch (Fluent for one language & minimum a basic knowledge of the other language), French (Fluent for one language & minimum a basic knowledge of the other language).

Localisation: Brussels centre.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Personal Skills (soft skills) Mandatory: Strong technical leadership and coaching skills; Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present architectural decisions to governance boards; Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical capabilities; Proactive, autonomous and able to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Preferable: Experience facilitating communities of practice and mentoring developers; Experience driving technology adoption and organizational change; Continuous learner with a strong interest in emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence. Business experience required (work experience) Mandatory: Experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect or Senior Software Engineer in a complex enterprise environment (Mid-level 2y-5y); Strong experience in designing and implementing enterprise-grade web applications (Mid-level 2y-5y).

Preferable: Experience in insurance or financial domain; Experience working within an Architecture Board or similar governance body; Experience defining development standards, architecture guidelines and reusable frameworks; Experience supporting multiple delivery teams and providing architectural governance; Experience managing technology lifecycle, upgrades and technical debt reduction initiatives. Technical experience required (hard skills) Mandatory: Expert knowledge of Angular and modern Front-End development practices (Mid-level 2y-5y); Strong knowledge of .NET /.NET Core ecosystems (Mid-level 2y-5y); Experience defining reusable components, patterns, frameworks and development standards (Mid-level 2y-5y); Strong understanding of Web Security standards and secure development practices (Mid-level 2y-5y); Experience with performance optimization, scalability and maintainability of web applications (Mid-level 2y-5y); Knowledge of Authentication and Authorization standards (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML) (Mid-level 2y-5y).

Preferable: Experience with Design Systems and UI component libraries; Experience with AI-assisted software development tools (GitHub Copilot, AI coding assistants, GenAI solutions); Experience performing architecture assessments and technology evaluations; Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and automated quality controls. Functional experience required (job experience in particular industry and in particular function) Mandatory: Ability to translate business and functional requirements into sustainable technical architectures (Mid-level 2y-5y); Experience producing architecture documentation, technical recommendations and implementation guidelines (Mid-level 2y-5y); Experience assessing impacts, risks and dependencies of technology changes (Mid-level 2y-5y).

Preferable: Experience leading proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives; Experience evaluating solution options and facilitating technical decision making; Experience contributing to enterprise architecture and technology strategy.
