Functional Analyst – Banking & Insurance

Our client, a prominent organization in the banking and insurance sector, is seeking a professional to oversee the functional design of complex information systems. The role involves performing detailed analysis and translating business needs into robust technical specifications while supporting the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities: Create the concept and manage the planning for preliminary analysis and design phases. Perform functional analysis of information systems and deliver functional designs following pre-studies. Support changes and enhancements throughout the lifecycle from development to production. Recommend and implement strategic system enhancements to optimize performance. Develop new program requirements and specifications to address specific business needs.

Analyze service requests to determine feasibility, technological changes, resource requirements, and time estimates.

Requirements: You have 5+ years of experience in the functional design of information systems within the banking or insurance sectors. You bring 3+ years of experience as a functional analyst in complex technical environments. You possess 2+ years of experience in software development with Java and Java SDK. You have experience working with Agile Methodologies. You possess knowledge of IT Security and Open Systems. You're proficient in using Jira and Confluence.

You possess strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You are a team player with clear and structured communication skills. You are fluent in English with active knowledge of Dutch.

Nice to Haves: Experience with data-driven decision-making processes.
