Functional Analyst – E-Commerce & Sitecore

Our client, a prominent organization in the public transport sector, is looking for a Functional Analyst to join their digital commerce team. The project focuses on enhancing international sales channels and passenger applications to deliver a modern, sustainable mobility experience. Responsibilities include collaborating with business stakeholders to document requirements, objectives, and complex processes; translating business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories for IT applications; partnering with development teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and architectural standards; supporting the quality assurance lifecycle by developing test plans and coordinating user acceptance testing; identifying and resolving functional defects while providing continuous guidance to project teams; documenting API specifications and providing feasibility studies for new digital services.

Requirements: 5+ years of experience in business and functional analysis within Agile or SAFe environments; 5+ years of experience with business process modelling using BPMN or UML; 5+ years of experience writing User Stories and managing SDLC methodologies; 2+ years of experience performing functional analysis within a Sitecore CMS environment; professional experience in the public transport or e-commerce sectors; technical knowledge of international rail travel systems, including PNR, content distribution, and seat reservations; experience with API documentation and feasibility study execution; detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting; fluent in English with a C1 level in Dutch or French.

Nice to haves: experience with multi-channel digital sales platforms; willingness to obtain certifications in advanced analysis methodologies.

Offer: start date 01/01/2027, duration until 31/12/2028, full-time work regime, location Brussels, hybrid work model (onsite presence up to 5 days per week as required), contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
