Functional Analyst – Public Lighting & Energy Systems

Our client, a prominent organization in the utilities sector, is looking for a professional to bridge the gap between business needs and IT implementations. The project focuses on delivering innovative, future-oriented solutions for public lighting infrastructure while maintaining a strategic view of asset management and operational processes.

Responsibilities include: translating complex business problems and domain-wide needs into clear functional requirements and technical solutions; collaborating with diverse departments including asset management, logistics, and IT to build a strong internal network; supporting the development of project definitions, roadmaps, and product backlogs while prioritizing business needs; creating detailed functional analyses that enable development teams to implement solutions efficiently; balancing functionality, usability, and cost-efficiency to ensure the scalability and maintenance of proposed solutions; managing relationships with stakeholders, including architects and developers, to ensure successful project implementation; and applying Agile and Scrum methodologies to maintain and optimize the application landscape.

Requirements: 5+ years of experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies; 5+ years of experience using Jira and Confluence for project management; 3+ years of experience as a functional analyst within the Energy sector; 3+ years of experience in application development including the ability to read and debug code; 3+ years of experience performing functional testing; proven knowledge of .NET development and SOA architectures; proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented with a conceptual mindset; and fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to have: 3+ years of experience modeling in UML; experience with data visualization using PowerBI; functional knowledge of public lighting domain processes; and familiarity with project management methodologies.

Offer: start date 16/12/2026, duration 12 months, full-time, location Melle, contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
