Fastned, a European fast-charging company building a network of fast-charging stations, is looking for a commercially-driven senior Investor Relations professional to join as an independent contractor as their first dedicated bond sales representative in Belgium. The role is a pure relationship and investor development engagement: you will be the face of Fastned's bond programme in the Belgian market, responsible for growing the Belgian investor base, deepening relationships with existing bondholders, and laying groundwork for partnerships. This freelance engagement offers a day rate discussed based on experience and market benchmarks, with a performance-related component. Responsibilities include investor relations (primary relationship holder for Belgian investors, managing bondholders during and between bond rounds), investor network development (proactively expanding the Belgian investor base via personal networks, including family offices, HNWIs, and professional investor communities), and market intelligence and local presence (attending investor events, feeding local intelligence to the central team). Requirements include a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in private banking, wealth management or comparable client-facing financial services, ability to operate autonomously, a high-quality network across the Belgian investor landscape, experience in regulated financial services, support in external funding rounds, a track record of fundraising results, ability to translate complex financials, and multilingual skills (native Dutch and fluent English required; fluent French a plus, German a bonus). The ideal candidate is relationship-first, commercially driven, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
