General Manager a.i.

An international industrial business is looking for a commercially driven General Manager a.i. to lead and grow its Dutch operation. This role combines full P&L responsibility, strategic leadership, commercial development, and operational oversight within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. The client is a global leader in manufacturing and production sector, focus on building solutions and serving customers across a wide range of commercial and industrial sectors from their office in Gelderland.

The organisation operates internationally and is recognized for its innovative products, strong market position, customer focus, and commitment to continuous improvement. As General Manager a.i., you will have full responsibility for the Dutch business and will be accountable for delivering sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include: defining and executing the local business strategy in line with overall company objectives; owning and managing the full P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and business planning; driving revenue growth and improving overall business performance; leading commercial activities, including key account management and customer relationship development; managing and coaching sales, customer-facing, and operational teams; identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies; overseeing daily operations, including warehousing, logistics, assembly, and service activities; monitoring business performance through KPIs and implementing corrective actions when required; building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders; supporting talent acquisition, employee development, succession planning, and performance management; and creating a culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

The client is looking for a General Manager a.i. who is an experienced business leader with strong commercial acumen, operational understanding, and a proven ability to drive results.

Requirements for this role: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; minimum 8 years of leadership and commercial management experience; proven track record of managing a business unit, branch, or country operation; experience with P&L ownership and strategic business planning; strong commercial mindset with experience managing customer relationships and driving growth; exposure to industrial, technical, manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or related sectors; knowledge of ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and performance reporting; fluency in Dutch and English; ZZP registered and based in the Netherlands.

The assignment is for 4 months, fulltime, start ASAP.
