Eisen

- Collaboration: Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to implement and align AI technologies with project goals
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary teams and explaining complex AI concepts to various stakeholders
- Passion for Generative AI: Strong interest in leveraging Large Language Models to transform system and software engineering
- Proficiency in designing and implementing end-to-end AI applications, including infrastructure setup using Docker and cloud platforms (Databricks and Azure experience preferred)
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (Master)
- Experience in designing and implementing evaluation frameworks for AI systems
- Methodological expertise: Capability to develop and present actionable methodological recommendations for Generative AI solutions
Omschrijving
Generative AI Research Engineer bij Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat in Eindhoven. Het betreft een detachering-functie voor 40 uur per week met een looptijd van 12 maanden. De salarisindicatie is €100,00 per uur. Reageren kan tot en met 18 september 2026.
Role: You will conduct applied research and develop methodologies and tools to integrate Generative AI into system and software engineering. Your work focuses on developing digital engineering assistants and accelerating data-to-insight workflows in quality and knowledge management. You will create proofs of concept, prototype solution scenarios, demonstrate value and constraints, and support translation of solutions into industrial practice.
Key responsibilities:
- Applied research: Design and execute research to explore Generative AI (Large Language Models) applications in engineering processes.
- Methodology & tooling: Develop methodological recommendations and tools for AI integration in system and software design, development, and operations.
- Prototyping & demonstrations: Build proofs of concept and prototypes to demonstrate benefits, constraints, and value of proposed solutions.
- Deployment support: Collaborate with teams to deploy Generative AI solutions in industrial environments and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Monitoring & evaluation: Measure performance of implementations and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Knowledge transfer: Communicate findings, best practices, and practical guidelines to engineering teams.
