Our client is a leading manufacturing organization committed to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence. The site operates in a dynamic production environment where continuous improvement and employee wellbeing are key priorities. We are looking for an experienced HSE Specialist to drive Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives within a production facility. You will work closely with operations and management teams to strengthen safety culture, ensure compliance, and support environmental performance.
Responsibilities include advising and supporting departments on HSE-related topics, promoting a proactive safety culture, conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations, leading initiatives related to machine safety, chemical safety, fire safety, and environmental compliance, managing emergency response plans and coordinating emergency response teams, monitoring HSE performance and preparing safety and environmental reports, and supporting compliance with legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
Requirements include a Bachelor's or master's degree with relevant HSE experience in a manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of HSE/SHE management systems, risk assessments, and auditing principles, proven experience in both Safety and Environmental Management, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ability to work independently and influence teams at all levels, and being results-driven, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
Other information: This role can be filled as either a permanent position or an interim assignment, depending on the candidate's preference. The position involves working mainly on-site, with some flexibility for remote work in the afternoons if the candidate lives nearby. The typical workday includes supporting operations in the morning, conducting inspections, and completing safety reports in the afternoon. Availability for ad hoc tasks between 11:00 and 12:00 is required.
