HVAC Commissioning Supervisor

HVAC Commissioning Supervisor for an industrial project in Antwerp.

Responsibilities include: Commissioning Planning: develop comprehensive pre-commissioning plans and procedures for HVAC, outlining objectives and schedules for testing and validation; collaborate with project engineers and other Commissioning disciplines to integrate pre-commissioning activities into the overall project schedule; review Sub-contractors' / Vendors procedures / reports, and Method Statements /Risk Assessment (RAMS).

Testing and Verification: supervise Vendors and Subcontractor's testing of machinery and equipment, including instrumentation and controls, interfaces, interlocks, loop checks and safety devices; supervise functional / integration tests to ensure systems operate correctly and safely; drive Mechanical Completion on system and sub-system basis as required by the Project Schedule.

Test Procedure Development: create and/or review commissioning test procedures (CTPs) for Machinery / Mechanical systems and E&I, ensuring detailed and compliant with Contract and industry standards; ensure test procedures are clear and provide specific instructions; determine temporary system requirements; prepare schedules for Vendor testing; determine plant, equipment, tools and specialist tool requirements.

Issue Identification and Troubleshooting: identify and troubleshoot issues during pre-commissioning and commissioning, work with other Site disciplines to implement solutions; document discrepancies in Nonconformance Reports and coordinate corrective actions.

Documentation and Reporting: prepare or review detailed reports summarizing testing activities, results, and issues; maintain accurate records of all activities including test results, inspection reports, punch lists, and compliance documentation.

Collaboration and Communication: work collaboratively with Commissioning Manager, other Commissioning Leaders, Subcontractors, Vendors, and other engineers; communicate test results to stakeholders.

Safety Compliance: adhere to HSE regulations; ensure safety protocols are followed; ensure RAMS, PTW and LOTO are correctly implemented and act as Approver of PTW issue.

Final Acceptance and Handover: participate in final acceptance process, ensure systems are fully tested and certified; facilitate handover to operations team.

Requirements: a degree in engineering or related field with substantial experience in Machinery/Mechanical commissioning; excellent problem-solving skills; strong organizational and documentation skills; effective communication and teamwork skills; a client oriented approach is mandatory.
